My daughter wants to play goal for Team Canada so I thought I'd encourage her by building her her own rink.
She's only 6 but it's never too early to learn to play goal.
Our yard is small so the rink is 12 x 25. It's my first attempt so I'm learning on a small scale. We hope to move in the spring and if it's to the country...watch out next year. I contacted Team Canada and they were gracious in sending me Team Manitoba, Team Canada, and Hockey Manitoba logos to bury in the ice. Tim Hortons also sent me their Timbits logo.
I started on Nov 13th/07 and today is Nov 15th and we are now at the waiting game stage of the ice. It went to plus 2 degrees so we have a white pond in the backyard at present.
Hope to add boards and lines soon when it freezes.
I'm going to use paper streemers for my lines..it looks like you painted yours...Any suggestions?
